My settings, preferences and tricks for Sublime Text

Sublime Text is an incredible text editor for developers. I work mostly with Laravel and here are my preferences and settings.

Package Control

It is the Sublime Text package manager. I would say that this is a must have if you use Sublime Text. To configure, follow this guide:

  1. Close Sublime Text.
  2. Run on the machine that has the latest settings the following
            cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/Sublime\ Text\ 3/Packages
            mkdir -p ~/Library/Mobile\ Documents/com\~apple\~CloudDocs/WebDev/ST3/Plugins
            mv User ~/Library/Mobile\ Documents/com\~apple\~CloudDocs/WebDev/ST3/Plugins
            ln -s ~/Library/Mobile\ Documents/com\~apple\~CloudDocs/WebDev/ST3/Plugins/User

How to run gist from terminal command line directly

Lets say you have a URL of the gitst, that you would like run from the terminal without copy/paste and creating a new file. It's doable, and it's pretty easy. You just have to put the next command in your terminal:

bash <(curl -s URL_OF_YOUR_FILE)
